It All Began Here

I delivered my first Qigong session back in December 2019 at the former coffee house known as Gather Dudley CIC. Housed within the Churchill Shopping Centre, a small group met in the upstairs room of Gather to perform a Shibashi set together. Stu and Lorraine, the coffee shop owners, didn’t charge me rent for the space in advance - they merely asked for a little donation from whatever I made. Their support and kindness really helped the enterprise to take off. And then, a few months later the world went into lockdown. The group managed to sustain itself via weekly online Zoom sessions for 12-18 months before the community venues began to re-open again. Participants have come and gone over the years, but our core members John, Jane, Barbara, Clare and Gaynor are still regular attendees - even after all these years!
